Brief history and role

The Appraisers's Association has been established on April 4th, 2001 and has accomplished many goals since then. It is the sole local non-governmental initiative in appraisal, and has become an international player.

Principal activities

The Appraisers' Association' of Turkey objectives are to serve, to develop and to enhance Appraisal services as an independent profession in Turkey.

The primary objective of the Association is to achieve professional and technical organization in the field of appraisal.

In order to achieve this, the association aims:

* to play a leading role to establish professional appraisal standards where international, regional and local standards operate in consistency with each other,
* to establish the legal infrastructure for independent appraisal practice,
* to maintain all practices are of a satisfactory level of quality and reliability and produced according to the same format regardless to their locality within the international arena,
* to increase the number of appraisers who are objective, qualified, certified and reliable, and abide by the Professional Standards in their appraisal practices.
